β€œThe universe is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper.”

As part of our Space Unit of Inquiry, students transitioned from foundational astronomical concepts to an immersive, high-fidelity experience via the Lake Metroparks Star Lab. This mobile planetarium allowed students to bridge the gap between abstract planetary data and visual reality. By projecting celestial mechanics onto the interior of the inflatable dome, students engaged in a 360-degree synthesis of their classroom learning. A follow-up session focused specifically on stellar navigation and constellations, deepening their understanding of cultural and scientific mapping of the night sky.
