A Message from Our Founder

Dear Families, Friends, and Partners,

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Global Connection Academy.

Global Connection Academy was founded on a simple belief: human potential is far greater than most people realize.Every person possesses unique gifts, talents, and possibilities waiting to be discovered and developed. Our work begins with children, but our belief in human potential extends throughout life.

We believe the purpose of education is not simply to prepare young people for tests or careers, but to help them discover who they are, what genuinely motivates them, and how they can build lives of meaning, purpose, and contribution.

After spending much of my career working with people and organizations around the world, I came to appreciate that the qualities that matter most are often the ones that are hardest to measure: curiosity, resilience, integrity, creativity, empathy, adaptability, and the ability to continue learning throughout life. In a world being reshaped by artificial intelligence and rapid technological change, these qualities will matter more than ever.

Mark Twain famously observed, "Don't let schooling interfere with your education." We believe education is much broader than what happens inside a classroom. It is a lifelong journey of discovering one's strengths, developing wisdom, building meaningful relationships, and learning how to create value for others.

At Global Connection Academy, learning is active, purposeful, and connected to real life. Through entrepreneurship, robotics, GCA Money & Marketplace, Pitch Challenges, financial literacy, environmental stewardship, global learning, and meaningful community partnerships, students don't simply study the world—they learn how to improve it.

Yet our vision extends beyond operating an excellent school.

We are building a Living Lab for Human Potential & Rural Innovation—a place where educators, families, entrepreneurs, businesses, artists, researchers, mentors, and community members learn alongside one another, exchange ideas, develop innovative solutions, and create opportunities that strengthen both individuals and communities.

It is a place where education, entrepreneurship, innovation, and community come together to prepare young people for meaningful lives while helping communities thrive.

We believe the school of the future can become more than a place where children learn. It can become an engine for developing human potential, cultivating innovation, and helping communities flourish.
